RCIA

Kierkegaard once said:

"There is no such thing as "being Christian".

There is only "becoming Christian".

Becoming a Catholic is a life long process.

It is a journey, not a destination".

Since 1972, the approach to adults joining the church has taken a radical change. This was the year the new Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) was approved for use by Pope Paul VI.  In l974, the English translation came about. Since the early 1980's, most parishes have used the RCIA.  We say it’s radical because it thrusts us back to our roots and challenges us to relearn what it means to be Church.

We gather and discuss topics

       pertaining to the Catholic Faith.

Hopefully,

we shed a little light on the path

       of your faith journey.

You must continue day by day

       to grow on your journey.

 But never alone.
